Gela Samsonidses Porträts zeigen Menschen, die sein Leben prägen: Familie und Freund*innen ebenso wie gesellschaftspolitisch relevante Figuren. In der Gegenüberstellung entsteht ein Spannungsfeld aus Nähe und Distanz, persönlicher Erfahrung und gesellschaftlicher Wirklichkeit.
Die Arbeiten sind keine reinen Abbildungen, sondern verdichtete Begegnungen, in denen sich Erinnerung, Projektion und kritische Auseinandersetzung überlagern.
